Ma Première École

Ma Première École creates a living environment in which the child speaks French. All employees interact only in French throughout the day. Workshops and activities, various games, exercises are only delivered in French.

Le Petit Chaperon Rouge Garderie Francophone

LE PETIT CHAPERON ROUGE is a non-profit organization offering French-language childcare services in seven centers in Toronto.

Their camps welcome children from 4 to 12 years old. The children are divided into age groups. Five of our six centers offer these camps and the programs are similar for all locations. The camps are 100% in French and they accept children who are not in their programs during the school year.

Alliance Française

They offer French Immersion camps through playful workshops such as dance, theatre, writing, poetry, music, etc. Media and foreign exchange camps are also offered for teenagers. From ages 5 and up.

Camp Tournesol 

Camp Tournesol has various programs ranging from kindergarten programs (preparing children for a smooth transition into a French program) to 13 day trips to Quebec for teens. Programs are tailored to both French Immersion and francophone children ages 4 and up.

C’est pas Géni’Al ? 

Their goal? “To boost children’s neurones… in French!”. The focus of this camp is to promote children’s cognitive ability, creativity and problem solving skills through cooperative/educative board games and activities. Programs are offered to children wanting to learn and/or practice their French. Campers at CPGAL will develop logic and strategic thinking while also participating in sport activities. Camps are suitable for children age 4 to teens and held at Collège français in Toronto. CPGAL also offers a 100% French camp at the Alliance Française Toronto campuses. These camps are specific for beginners and intermediate level. The camp also offers the flexibility of weekly, daytime and half-day registration. Open to children ages 4 and up.

Camp Afry

L’Afry offers two separate summer programs. One geared for children attending a full French program and the another for French Immersion programs. Great outings are happening throughout the summer such as visits to the Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto Zoo and Brooks Farms. For ages 6 and up.

Camp Garnier et Marion 

Provided by the Club Optimiste Francophone de Durham.  Offers weekly themes and fun activities are organized every week. Their camp is geared to any children who have a good understanding of le français. Their golden rule for the summer is “In French at All Times”. For ages 6 to 15.

La Muse

Operates out of an art studio in Toronto and offers both bilingual (English and French) and groups or individual classes to children, students, adults and families.  With an emphasis on French language and a focus on creating, participants learn and express their creativity in visual arts such as; Painting, printing, modeling, drawing and building.  La Muse offers art summer camps at various locations in Toronto including natural settings. Their camps are suitable for children age 6-12 years old. They offer both bilingual (English and French) and 100% French summer camps.

Camp Chez Nous – Mansfield Outdoor Centre

For over 20 years, Camp Chez Nous has offered French Immersion students an opportunity to develop French language skills while enjoying great activities at their bilingual overnight camp located at the Mansfield Outdoor Centre in Mulmur. Campers will have fun in French and gain experiences that will promote the use of the French language, strengthen language skills, motivate students to continue in French language studies and help campers refresh their camp skills before they return to school.  Program activities includes time in the swimming pool, games, sports, singing, and crafts. My French Club

My French Club is dedicated to providing unique enrichment programs in French, in a cost effective manner. Their aim is to empower families interested in complementing their children’s education by ensuring their active use of their French skills is applied outside of the classroom. Multilingual kids

French classes are offered at a variety of locations in Toronto and the GTA—both group and private as well as a French camp in the summer. Multilingual kids is a full immersion language program for infants, toddlers and children. The curriculum is comprised of an age-appropriate repertoire which has been researched, collected and modified over the years. Clarity, repetition and interaction are their building blocks to their program. The program is divided into 4 age groups—birth to 2 years (mice), 2 to 4 years (cats), 4 to 8 years (lions) and 8 plus (dragons). Classes are kept to a maximum of 8 children to ensure child/teacher attention.

SkyBlue Art Studio

SkyBlue Art Studio is an independent organization n Toronto dedicated to providing bilingual art classes for kids. Their fun and interactive programs allow participants to learn the fundamentals of art while exercising their French language skills. They offer camps, programs and workshops for children aged 3 – 12 years. The programs are designed to suit the developmental stages of participants, all while challenging them to acquire new creative skills while fostering French language skills.    Camps:  SkyBlue Studio’s offers summer and March break bilingual camps.  The camp program is a great way to provide a bilingual environment outside of the classroom. Through different themes and materials, participants will engage in creative projects as well as outdoor activities. Camp sizes are small, which allows for individualized attention and support from staff.

University of Toronto Mississauga Campus

Enjoy a unique camp experience in French that focuses on both recreational and academic activities for campers age 8 – 13 years old. University of Toronto Mississauga ( UTM ) offers a summer French camp entirely run by teacher-candidates and graduate students specializing in language teaching. Campers are divided into small groups according to their French proficiency levels for a series of academic, cultural and recreational activities specifically designed for each ability level. Children will play games daily and have an opportunity to participate in swimming a couple times a week. Lunch is included in all-day programs.

Girl Guides of Canada (Ontario Council) French Language Adventurers Camp

The Girl Guides of Canada Ontario Council camping program offers speciality programs such as their Language Adventure Camp for girls born 2001-2006 in Haliburton /Barrie. This program is packed full of traditional camp activities with parts of the camp instructed in French/bilingually. Some campers will be starting with the most basic French skills and others will be fluent. Staff will work with each camper at the level they arrive with and work to increase their conversational language skills from there. Campers will speak French on site, all camp activities will be done bilingually where possible, and program activities will be in French when an instructor is available.  All campers will participate in a 3-day excursion towards the end of their stay as well. They will stop in Ottawa on their way to Camp Wa-Thik-Ane (Quebec Girl Guide Camp), visit Mont Saint-Sauveur and Aventure Laflèche for activities to enhance their French language skills.  LOCATION:  15372 Hwy 118, RR#2, Haliburton, ON  K0M 1S

French Solutions

Located in Markham/ Toronto, it offers a summer and March Break camp designed to engage students between the ages of 5 (or who have completed JK) to 12 in French. French Solutions has tailored 3 separate camp programs in order to meet the individual needs of children (beginners, Core French and French Immersion/Francophone). Their camps pride themselves in having educational activities that allows students to improve their French oral skills.

Harbourfront Centre Camps

Located on the Toronto waterfront Since 1979.  We have provided opportunities for exploration, creativity and personal growth within a positive camp atmosphere. In partnership with Collège Boréal, Harbourfront Centre offers quality camp programs in French. Campers will participate in a variety of activities and subjects including sport games, visual arts and recreational activities. Camp programs are suitable for children age 6 – 8 and 9 – 12.

Camp Glendon

A part of York University located in Toronto, Glendon College offers a university education unique in Canada for its combination of quality academic offerings, campus experience, and commitment to bilingualism. Glendon College offers a B.Ed and IBA in French Studies and also beginner to advance FSL courses in the Extended Learning program.  Glendon also offers “Camp Glendon“, a bilingual summer camp held on the beautiful Glendon College campus in July and August. Camp Glendon gives children and youth ages 5 to 15 the opportunity to enhance their sports, arts, leadership and social skills while at the same time building French and English language skills and vocabulary.
